Electrical Engineering — AI Data Trainer About the Role We partner with the world's leading AI research labs to build smarter, more technically capable AI models — and we need electrical engineers to make it happen.
Offensive Security Analyst (Structured / Non-Exploit)
Job description
Offensive Security Analyst (Structured / Non-Exploit)
About the Role
What if your instinct for thinking like an attacker could directly shape how AI understands and reasons about cybersecurity threats? We're looking for offensive security professionals to analyze real-world attack paths, adversary behavior, and defensive gaps — helping build and evaluate AI systems that need to understand how modern threats actually work.
This is not an exploit development role. It's about structured adversarial reasoning — mapping how attacks unfold, where defenses break down, and how risk propagates across complex environments. No AI background needed. Just deep, hands-on security knowledge and the ability to communicate it clearly.
- Organization: Alignerr
- Type: Hourly Contract
- Location: Remote
- Commitment: 10–40 hours/week
What You'll Do
- Analyze attack paths, kill chains, and adversary strategies across realistic, production-style environments
- Identify weaknesses, misconfigurations, and defensive gaps in modeled systems
- Review and evaluate red-team-style scenarios and intrusion narratives for accuracy and completeness
- Generate, label, and validate adversarial reasoning data used to train and benchmark AI systems
- Clearly articulate attack chains, potential impact, and risk tradeoffs in structured formats
- Work independently and asynchronously on task-based assignments — fully on your own schedule
Who You Are
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in pentesting, red teaming, or a blue-team role with strong offensive knowledge
- Deep understanding of how real attacks unfold in production environments — not just theory
- Able to map attacker decision-making across complex, multi-stage intrusion scenarios
- Strong written communicator — you can explain technical attack paths clearly and precisely
- Methodical, detail-oriented, and consistent in your analytical approach
- No prior AI or machine learning experience required
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with frameworks like MITRE ATT&CK, Cyber Kill Chain, or OWASP
- Experience with threat modeling, purple team exercises, or adversary simulation
- Background in cloud security, Active Directory attacks, or lateral movement techniques
- Prior work in security research, CTF competition, or technical security writing
- Exposure to AI tools or structured data annotation workflows
Why Join Us
- Work directly on frontier AI systems alongside leading AI research labs
- Fully remote and flexible — work when and where it suits you
- Freelance autonomy with the structure of meaningful, task-based work
- Apply your offensive security expertise to a genuinely novel and high-impact problem space
- Potential for ongoing work and contract extension as new projects launch
