Application Security Analyst (AI Training)

About the Role

Your instinct for how software breaks in the real world is exactly what's needed here. We're partnering with leading AI research labs to build AI systems that can genuinely reason about application security — and we need experienced security professionals to make that happen.

This isn't a typical AppSec role. You'll work on the cutting edge of AI development, translating your hard-won security expertise into training data that teaches AI how to think like a skilled security analyst.

What You'll Do

  • Analyze realistic application security scenarios across code, APIs, and system behavior
  • Classify and explain vulnerabilities including authentication flaws, injection risks, and business logic issues
  • Evaluate the quality of secure coding practices and remediation strategies
  • Build and validate security-focused reasoning datasets that teach AI to accurately assess and prioritize application risk
  • Distinguish genuine exploitability from theoretical risk with clear, structured written analysis

Who You Are

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in application, product, or software security
  • Solid familiarity with the OWASP Top 10 and common production vulnerabilities
  • Proven ability to assess real-world exploitability — not just textbook risk
  • Strong written communication skills with the ability to explain complex security reasoning clearly
  • Self-directed and comfortable working independently in a remote, async environment

Nice to Have

  • Experience with penetration testing, secure code review, or bug bounty programs
  • Background in API security, cloud-native application security, or DevSecOps
  • Familiarity with AI or data labeling workflows
