Role Overview
We are seeking a Filipino Translation & Localization Specialist with a passion for gaming to join our team. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality translations and localized content for gaming-related materials, ensuring accuracy, cultural relevance, and consistency.
Key Responsibilities
- Translate and localize gaming content, including:
- Game releases
- Marketing materials
- Support and knowledge base content
- Ensure linguistic accuracy and cultural relevance in all translated materials
- Manage multiple projects and adapt to shifting priorities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment
- Maintain consistency across terminology and style
- Handle last-minute updates and revisions efficiently
Requirements
- Native proficiency in Filipino (written and spoken)
- Strong English communication skills
- Professional experience in translation/localization
- Experience with CAT tools such as:
- SDL Trados
- MemoQ
- Memsource
- Crowdin
- Wordfast
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work collaboratively and meet tight deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in gaming or game localization
- Familiarity with game genres, platforms, and communities
- Understanding of software, hardware, or game development
- Background in linguistics, translation, or related field
Compensation
- $29.80 – $36.05 per hour (based on experience and location)
