Role Overview

Mercor is seeking native or near-native English (UK) speakers to support the development of next-generation voice AI systems. In this fully remote contract role, you will use a specialized AI application on your Apple Silicon Mac to complete everyday voice-based tasks, evaluate AI responses, and provide high-quality transcripts and structured feedback.

This opportunity is ideal for individuals who regularly use productivity applications, have excellent spoken and written English (UK), and are comfortable following structured workflows while helping improve conversational AI.

Key Responsibilities

Complete Voice-Based AI Tasks

  • Use your voice to compose emails, messages, notes, and other everyday content.
  • Interact naturally with an AI assistant across common productivity applications.
  • Perform voice-driven tasks involving documents, spreadsheets, images, and text formatting.

Evaluate AI Performance

  • Rate the quality and accuracy of AI-generated responses.
  • Record spoken queries and produce cleaned, accurate transcripts.
  • Document results using structured tracking sheets.

Maintain Project Quality

  • Upload supporting recordings to a shared drive.
  • Follow detailed project guidelines and quality standards.
  • Conduct self-review to ensure accuracy and completeness of submitted work.

Required Qualifications

  • Native or near-native proficiency in English (United Kingdom preferred).
  • Strong understanding of spoken and written English.
  • Own a Mac with:

- Apple Silicon (M1, M2, or M3)

- macOS Sequoia 15.0 or later

  • Regular user of common productivity applications, including:

- Email

- Messaging

- Spreadsheets

  • Comfortable with structured data entry and quality review.
