Role Overview
Mercor is seeking Finance Experts & Writers to help improve frontier AI models by reviewing, evaluating, annotating, and labeling AI-generated outputs related to finance. You will apply your professional finance expertise and structured evaluation guidelines to benchmark AI performance and ensure high-quality training data.
This is a flexible remote contract opportunity for finance professionals with strong analytical, research, and written communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
Review & Evaluate AI Outputs
- Review AI-generated finance content across a variety of business and financial topics.
- Evaluate content quality using detailed rubrics and evaluation guidelines.
- Label and annotate datasets to improve AI model performance.
Research & Quality Assurance
- Apply consistent judgment across large volumes of evaluation tasks.
- Benchmark AI outputs for quality, reasoning, and accuracy.
- Maintain high standards for data quality and annotation consistency.
Follow Evaluation Standards
- Follow structured task instructions and project guidelines.
- Produce reliable, objective evaluations that contribute to AI model improvement.
Required Qualifications
3–5 years of professional experience in finance.
Bachelor's degree or higher in:
- Finance
- Economics
- Accounting
- Business
Professional certifications such as CFA, CPA, or MBA are a plus but not required.
Strong research, analytical, and written communication skills.
Excellent attention to detail.
Ability to consistently apply detailed evaluation rubrics.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with AI data annotation, AI evaluation, RLHF, or AI training projects.
Compensation
- $65–$75 USD per hour
