Images are fundamental to many AI systems, from photo enhancement tools to computer vision models used in consumer applications and research. For these systems to perform effectively, they must be trained on accurately labeled data that reflects real-world variations in image quality.
Project Photo ML IQ 2 invites participants in Malaysia to assess the technical quality of digital images. Your evaluations will focus exclusively on objective visual characteristics such as sharpness, noise, and pixelation, helping create reliable datasets that improve how AI systems analyze and process images.
As an Image Quality Evaluator, you will review images and assign a single quality score based solely on their technical merits, without considering the subject matter or aesthetic appeal.
What You’ll Do
Your primary task is to assess the technical quality of images according to detailed scoring guidelines. This includes:
- Review images individually
- Identify technical artifacts and degradations, such as:
- Blurriness
- Digital noise
- Pixelation
- Compression artifacts
- Other image distortions
- Assign a single quality score to each image
- Ensure evaluations remain objective and independent of image content
- Follow project guidelines and scoring criteria precisely
- Perform self-review to maintain consistency and accuracy
