Translates architecture decisions into</p><p style="margin-bottom:0cm;">implementation tasks, reviews all technical deliverables, and is the primary escalation point for</p><p style="margin-bottom:0cm;">integration issues. Works closely with the on-site Data Scientist for site-specific decisions.</p><p style="margin-bottom:0cm;"><br></p><p style="margin-bottom:0cm;"><strong>Responsibilities&nbsp;</strong></p><p style="margin-bottom:0cm;"><strong>Architecture &amp; Design</strong></p><p style="margin-bottom:0cm;">Maintain the detailed technical design document — component diagrams, data flow, API</p><p style="margin-bottom:0cm;">contracts, deployment topology</p><p style="margin-bottom:0cm;">Design the protocol bridge configuration for each site's BMS (OPC-UA endpoint</p><p style="margin-bottom:0cm;">discovery, BACnet device enumeration, MQTT topic structure)</p><p style="margin-bottom:0cm;">Design the tag mapping pipeline — auto-mapping rules, manual override workflow,</p><p style="margin-bottom:0cm;">cross-site tag dictionary maintenance</p><p style="margin-bottom:0cm;">Define the CI/CD pipeline for platform deployments across sites</p><p style="margin-bottom:0cm;">Design the monitoring and observability stack — what metrics are collected, what SLOs</p><p style="margin-bottom:0cm;">are enforced, what alerts fire on platform health (not equipment health)</p><p style="margin-bottom:0cm;"><strong>Implementation Oversight</strong></p><ul><li>Conduct code reviews for all platform changes — API endpoints, model serving pipeline,</li><li>data ingestion, CMMS integration</li><li>Define and enforce coding standards, testing requirements, and documentation expectations for the delivery team</li><li>Own the integration test strategy — end-to-end tests from BMS data ingestion through alert generation through CMMS work order creation</li><li>Review and approve all model deployment configurations (MLflow model registry, model versioning, A/B testing setup)</li><li>Troubleshoot production issues escalated by the Data Engineer or Platform Developer</li></ul><p style="margin-bottom:0cm;"><strong>Coordination</strong></p><ul><li>Run daily standups with the offshore team (30 min)</li><li>Provide weekly technical status updates to the Project Manager</li><li>Coordinate with the on-site Data Scientist on site-specific findings — tag anomalies,</li><li>equipment behavior that does not match the physics model, alert validation outcomes</li><li>Maintain the technical risk log and escalate blockers that require CODVO.AI leadership</li><li>or customer involvement</li></ul><p style="margin-bottom:0cm;"><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p style="margin-bottom:0cm;"><strong>Expected Background&nbsp;</strong></p><ul><li>8+ years in backend systems, distributed architectures, or industrial data platforms</li><li>Experience with Python, FastAPI or Flask, PostgreSQL/TimescaleDB, MQTT, and</li><li>container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)</li><li>Familiarity with MLflow, model serving patterns, and ML pipeline design</li><li>Understanding of BMS protocols (OPC-UA, BACnet) — does not need to be an OT</li><li>specialist but must be able to debug protocol-level integration issues</li><li>Experience leading a delivery team of 4–6 engineers across time zones</li></ul>
