This project focuses on improving AI systems that reason across molecular biology by leveraging the expertise of experienced molecular biologists. You will contribute your knowledge of DNA and RNA sequence design to create high-quality training data that enables AI models to solve complex scientific problems.
The primary focus is on designing DNA and RNA sequences prior to laboratory experimentation, including primers, plasmids, RNAs, repair templates, and other molecular biology constructs.

Design Molecular Biology Constructs
Design and review:
- DNA sequences

Apply professional laboratory experience to sequence and construct design.
Create Expert Training Data
- Author challenging, real-world molecular biology tasks.
- Produce accurate, well-documented reference solutions that serve as expert ground truth for AI training.
Evaluate AI-Generated Solutions
Review AI-generated molecular biology designs and scientific reasoning.
Assess outputs for:
- Scientific accuracy
- Technical correctness
- Biological validity
- Logical reasoning
- Completeness
Provide detailed written feedback and recommendations.
Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts
- Work with other molecular biology specialists to ensure consistency and quality across training datasets.
- Help maintain rigorous scientific standards throughout the project.
Ideal Qualifications
Practicing or recently practicing molecular biologist.
Hands-on experience designing nucleic acid sequences prior to laboratory experiments.
Advanced degree in one of the following fields:
- Molecular Biology
- Genetics
- Biochemistry
- Synthetic Biology
- Bioengineering
- Related life science discipline
PhD strongly preferred.
Research Experience
A strong peer-reviewed publication record is highly valued.
Publications in respected scientific venues such as:
- Nature
- bioRxiv
- Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory Press
- eLife

Project Scope

Compensation
- $70–$120 per hour
