About the Role

This is a fully remote, flexible contract role built for scientists who want to do meaningful, intellectually stimulating work on their own schedule. No prior AI experience needed — just deep domain knowledge and a commitment to scientific rigor.

What You'll Do

  • Develop, solve, and critically review advanced biology problems with real-world scientific relevance
  • Apply your expertise in genetics, biotechnology, bioinformatics, or related fields to design complex, challenging problem statements
  • Collaborate asynchronously with AI researchers and domain experts to strengthen AI model reasoning in the life sciences
  • Ensure scientific accuracy, clarity, and depth across all deliverables
  • Work independently on task-based assignments fully on your own schedule

Who You Are

  • Holds a Master's or PhD in Biology or a closely related field (Genetics, Molecular Biology, Bioinformatics, Biotechnology, etc.)
  • Strong expertise in one or more of: genetics, biotechnology, or bioinformatics
  • Comfortable coding in Python or R for research or data analysis
  • Exceptional written communication skills with strong attention to scientific detail
  • Fluent in English — self-motivated and reliable when working independently

Nice to Have

  • Prior experience with data annotation, data quality review, or AI evaluation workflows
  • Background in scientific writing, peer review, or research publication
  • Familiarity with bioinformatics pipelines, genomic data analysis, or computational biology tools
  • Experience translating complex scientific concepts for non-specialist audiences
