Job description
Turing is seeking Biology Experts with a Master's, PhD, or Postdoctoral background to help evaluate and improve frontier large language models (LLMs). In this remote contractor role, you will create challenging biology problems, develop high-quality solutions, and collaborate with AI researchers to assess and enhance model reasoning across undergraduate to PhD-level biological concepts.
This opportunity is ideal for professionals with strong expertise in Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or related life sciences who are passionate about advancing AI through scientific evaluation and education.
Key Responsibilities
Develop AI Evaluation Content
- Design challenging Biology questions that test the reasoning capabilities of large language models.
- Create high-quality, step-by-step solutions with rigorous scientific reasoning.
- Produce evaluation content covering undergraduate through PhD-level Biology topics.
Evaluate AI Performance
- Identify weaknesses in AI reasoning across complex biological concepts.
- Help develop new evaluation benchmarks for Biology-focused AI models.
- Assess AI responses for scientific accuracy, clarity, and logical consistency.
Collaborate with AI Researchers
Work with LLM researchers to develop evaluation tasks focused on:
- Conceptual understanding
- Multi-step reasoning
- Scientific data interpretation
- Problem-solving
Provide structured annotations and detailed feedback to improve model performance.
Required Qualifications
Strong analytical and research skills.
