Job description
Mercor is seeking expert evaluators with deep experience in legal and compliance functions to assess AI-generated work products for accuracy, rigor, and domain quality.
This is a remote, hourly contract opportunity focused on reviewing documents, spreadsheets, and presentation decks produced by AI systems.
Evaluators will apply real-world legal and compliance expertise to determine whether outputs meet professional standards, demonstrate sound reasoning, and accurately reflect legal, regulatory, governance, and compliance principles.
What You'll Do
Evaluate AI-generated artifacts including:
- Documents
- Spreadsheets
- Slide decks
Assess outputs using domain-specific quality rubrics
Review work for:
- Legal accuracy
- Regulatory compliance
- Domain rigor
- Professional presentation
Identify:
- Factual errors
- Legal inaccuracies
- Compliance risks
- Presentation issues
- Aesthetic weaknesses
- Logical inconsistencies
Provide clear and structured written feedback
Apply professional judgment when evaluating legal and compliance-related content
Required Qualifications
5+ years of professional experience in:
- Legal practice
- Compliance
- Regulatory affairs
- Risk management
- Corporate governance
- Related legal disciplines
Native or professional fluency in English
Strong analytical and evaluation skills
Ability to assess legal and compliance materials objectively and consistently
Technical Requirements
- Highly proficient with:
- Microsoft Office

Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree or higher
- JD, LLM, Master's in Compliance, Regulatory Affairs, or related qualification
- Experience reviewing legal documentation, regulatory filings, policies, contracts, or compliance reports
- Experience evaluating executive-level legal or compliance materials
