This is a remote contract opportunity for Legal Research Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to review AI-generated legal research outputs and produce expert legal research content used to train and evaluate advanced AI systems.
Contributors will assess legal reasoning quality, issue analysis, authority selection, citation accuracy, and overall legal correctness while helping improve the reliability of AI-powered legal research.
This opportunity is offered through SME Careers, an AI Data Services company and subsidiary of SuperAnnotate that provides training data to leading AI companies and foundation-model labs.

Required Qualifications
JD, LLB, equivalent legal qualification, or advanced paralegal/legal research background
5+ years of professional legal research experience in:
- Law firms
- In-house legal departments
- Government
- Academia
- Legal publishing
Strong legal research methodology including:
- Issue framing
- Jurisdiction selection
- Authority retrieval
- Legal synthesis
- Risk and uncertainty analysis
Experience interpreting:
