Job description
As a QGIS Expert, you will apply your geospatial and mapping expertise to help train next-generation AI systems through real-world GIS workflows, spatial analysis, and cartographic production.
This role focuses on demonstrating how experienced GIS professionals manage geospatial projects using QGIS, from raw spatial data processing to final mapping deliverables. No prior AI experience is required — deep QGIS and geospatial expertise is what matters most.
Key Responsibilities
Lead complete QGIS workflows involving:
- Spatial data acquisition
- Data cleaning
- Spatial analysis
- Cartographic production
- Final deliverables
Document:
- Workflow decisions
- GIS reasoning
- Mapping strategies
- Problem-solving approaches
Organize, clean, and validate:
- Spatial datasets
- Geographic data layers
- Coordinate systems
- Spatial references
Manage:
- Projections
- Data interoperability
- Map styling
- Layer symbolization
Build:
- Advanced layouts
- Cartographic products
- Professional map outputs
Troubleshoot GIS workflow issues and explain technical resolutions
Collaborate remotely with project teams while maintaining high documentation standards
Required Qualifications
Extensive hands-on experience with QGIS
Proven ability to independently manage complete GIS projects
Strong expertise involving:
