Job description
Join the team as a FreeCAD Expert specializing in BIM and IFC workflows, helping shape next-generation AI systems focused on engineering, CAD modeling, and building information modeling.
This role centers on completing end-to-end parametric CAD projects while documenting professional workflows, modeling decisions, and interoperability strategies used in real-world BIM and engineering environments.
Contributors will help improve AI understanding of:

Key Responsibilities
Lead complete parametric modeling projects in FreeCAD from:
- Initial concept
- Model development
- Production-ready deliverables
Use BIM and IFC workflows to:
- Coordinate building models
- Structure architectural elements
- Manage spatial data
including:
Walls
Slabs
Structural systems
Building components
Import, export, and validate IFC datasets for interoperability with other BIM/CAD platforms
Develop and maintain:
- Constrained sketches
- Parametric model trees
- Building assemblies
- Structured CAD workflows
Prepare:
- Technical drawings
- STEP exports
- STL exports
- DXF files
- IFC deliverables
Document modeling strategies and interoperability decisions through written and verbal explanations
Collaborate with technical teams to support AI learning and workflow analysis initiatives
Required Skills & Qualifications
Expert-level proficiency with FreeCAD
Strong portfolio demonstrating:
- Parametric CAD projects
- BIM workflows
- Production-ready engineering models
Deep understanding of:

Experience with:
