Job description

HumanSignal is building a global contributor community to support the annotation, review, and refinement of datasets used in artificial intelligence and computer vision systems.

As a Data Annotation Contributor, you will help improve the accuracy and consistency of labeled image and video datasets used for training and evaluating advanced AI technologies.

This is a flexible contractor-based opportunity where contributors can participate in projects that match their skills, interests, and availability.

Role Overview

Contributors review and refine annotations inside image and video datasets according to project guidelines and quality standards.

Projects may involve:

  • Bounding box review
  • Segmentation refinement
  • Masking sensitive information
  • Quality validation
  • Annotation correction

Training materials and project guidance may be provided depending on assignment requirements.

Responsibilities

Depending on the project, contributors may:

  • Review and correct:

    • Bounding boxes
    • Object annotations
    • Human annotations
    • Segmentation masks
  • Refine image or video labeling quality

  • Identify and mask:

    • Personally identifiable information (PII)
    • Sensitive visual content
  • Ensure annotations follow:

    • Project guidelines
    • Quality standards
    • Consistency requirements
  • Flag incorrect or unclear labels for further review

  • Submit completed tasks through annotation platforms and project tools
