Home & Consumer Tech Specialist — Robotics

Mercor is seeking consumer technology and smart home specialists to help train AI-powered home robotics and automation systems.

This role focuses on evaluating AI performance across:

• Smart home interactions
• Home appliance operation
• Spatial layout understanding
• Consumer product testing
• Home automation workflows

Contributors will apply practical knowledge of how people interact with technology in real home environments to improve AI-driven home robotics systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate AI-generated workflows and responses related to:

  • Smart home systems
  • Consumer electronics
  • Home robotics
  • IoT device interactions

• Assess AI understanding of:

  • Spatial layouts
  • Home environments
  • Appliance operation
  • User interaction patterns

• Review home technology scenarios for:

  • Usability
  • Real-world practicality
  • Operational accuracy

• Provide detailed feedback on:

  • Consumer device interactions
  • Home automation workflows
  • AI-generated operational guidance

• Apply hands-on experience with:

  • Smart home devices
  • Consumer technology
  • Connected appliances
  • Home automation ecosystems

to improve AI training quality.

• Collaborate remotely with AI evaluation and research teams
• Help improve AI systems designed for consumer robotics and smart home automation

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong familiarity with:

• Practical experience as:
