Role Overview
Mercor is seeking experienced Wealth & Asset Management Experts to support AI training initiatives focused on financial advisory and investment strategy.
In this role, you will evaluate AI outputs and create realistic financial scenarios to improve how AI systems reason about portfolio construction, financial planning, and wealth management workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate AI-generated outputs related to:
- Portfolio recommendations
- Financial planning scenarios
- Investment research
- Client communications
- Create realistic advisory scenarios such as:
- Client discovery meetings
- Investment policy statements (IPS)
- Portfolio rebalancing decisions
- Tax-loss harvesting strategies
- Estate planning workflows
- Annotate and validate datasets across wealth management use cases
- Provide structured feedback on AI performance, including:
- Fiduciary standards (Reg BI, Investment Advisers Act)
- Tax implications
- Suitability requirements
- Collaborate with research teams to refine evaluation frameworks
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in wealth or asset management
- Background in one or more of:
- Financial planning and client advisory
- Portfolio management and asset allocation
- Alternative investments (private equity, hedge funds, real assets)
- Trust and estate planning
- Institutional asset management or fund operations
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to translate real-world workflows into structured evaluation tasks
- Excellent written communication and attention to detail
Nice to Have
- Certifications such as:
- CFA
- CFP
- CAIA
- Series 65/66
- Experience with AI, data annotation, or evaluation projects
