Stereographer III
Job description
Summary:
We are seeking a hands-on Stereographer (Contract Worker) to expand the stereo-supervision capacity of Meta Reality Labs Entertainment’s (RLE) Video Production (RVP) 3D Conversion team. As the slate scales across multiple studio partners and conversion vendors, this role adds a second senior set of stereo eyes — reviewing converted 3D content, giving creative and technical direction, and holding a consistent quality bar across many parallel titles.
This is a peer to the existing Stereo Supervisor: a senior stereo craftsperson who owns daily vendor review, convergence / comfort judgment, and studio/director-facing review support — the daily-pulse quality layer between vendor execution and final headset delivery.
This is a remote, contract-worker (CW) position, not an FTE role. The ideal candidate has deep 3D conversion / stereo experience, strong vendor and studio relationships, and the judgment to keep quality consistent across many titles at once.
Job Responsibilities:
• Daily review of converted 3D from vendors across the active slate — clear creative and technical notes.
• Own convergence, depth-budget, and viewer-comfort judgment; QC inversions, window violations, and edge/transparency artifacts.
• Run QC passes (incl. tiered QC on high-priority studio titles); coordinate finishing and color through to the headset deliverable.
• Interface with studios / directors in review; support vendor on-site visits.
• Help build the conversion pipeline and quality standards as volume scales.
Skills:
• Technical or creative production experience or combination of both
• Equipment operation/understanding in a fast-paced production environment
• Experience with technical broadcast operations or in an advisement.
• Knowledge of technical video equipment including switchers, audio boards, routers, GFX creation, cameras, lighting, microphones and other relevant production equipment
Education/Experience:
• Bachelor's Degree in relevant field or relevant working experience
