Role Overview
Mercor is seeking UK-based Video Producers and Editors to help train next-generation AI systems by contributing expertise in commercial film production, motion design, and post-production. In this fully remote hourly contract role, you will evaluate, create, and review high-quality video content that helps improve AI understanding of professional video production standards.
This opportunity is ideal for experienced creative professionals with backgrounds in leading motion design or creative production studios and a portfolio demonstrating excellence in commercial, branded, or campaign film production.
Key Responsibilities
Evaluate Video Content
- Review and assess commercial video, motion design, and brand film content.
- Evaluate production quality, pacing, storytelling, editorial decisions, and visual execution.
- Apply professional standards when reviewing AI-generated creative outputs.
Create AI Training Content
- Produce structured evaluations and high-quality training data for frontier AI systems.
- Provide expert feedback on production quality and creative decision-making.
Producer or Editor Track
- Producer: project scoping, budget planning, production scheduling, client communication, delivery management.
- Editor: video editing, motion graphics, color finishing, post-production workflows, visual effects and animation.
Required Qualifications
- Based in the United Kingdom with the legal right to work.
- Professional experience producing commercial film, branded content, or motion design projects.
- Strong portfolio or showreel demonstrating high-quality commercial work.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience at leading studios (BUCK, Tendril, Future Deluxe, Hornet, Giant Ant, Ordinary Folk, or similar).
- Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, Cinema 4D.
Compensation
- $150 to $200 per hour
- Weekly payments via Stripe or Wise
