Role Overview
Mercor is seeking experienced Emergency Medicine Physicians to participate in a paid occupational study that helps build a more accurate version of O*NET, the U.S. government's occupational database. In this remote hourly contract opportunity, you will share insights about your day-to-day work through a one-time online survey or interview, helping improve how the emergency medicine physician profession is represented.
This opportunity is intended for experienced U.S.-based emergency medicine physicians with recent, hands-on experience.
Key Responsibilities
Complete Occupational Survey
- Participate in a one-time online survey or interview lasting up to 30 minutes.
- Answer questions about your day-to-day responsibilities.
- Share insights based on your real-world experience.
Describe Your Work
- Patient triage, emergency diagnosis, and clinical decision-making.
- Patient stabilization, emergency treatment, and critical care management.
- Patient disposition and supervising emergency medical staff.
Contribute to Occupational Research
- Help improve the accuracy of occupational descriptions used in the O*NET framework.
- Support the development of AI systems trained on realistic occupational data.
- Optionally participate in follow-up surveys, interviews, or research tasks for additional compensation.
Required Qualifications
- At least 4 years of experience in the role.
- Currently working in the role or within the past 12 months.
- Based in the United States.
Not Eligible
Applicants whose primary role is: EMT, Paramedic, NP/PA in an ED, RN, Urgent Care Physician, Family or Internal Medicine Physician, Hospitalist, Resident/Fellow, or Surgeon.
Compensation
- Weekly payments via Stripe or Wise
- Additional compensation may be available for optional follow-up studies.
