United States $41 – $46.5/hr July 16, 2026

Job description

Supply Chain Planner (Contract)

Please note that this is a contract role providing services to Microsoft through external staffing partners of Allegis Global Solutions. If you are selected for this role, you will be employed by AGS and will not be an employee of Microsoft.

Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytically driven supply chain professional to support the development and execution of forward and reverse supply plans under the guidance of senior team members. In this role, you will perform supply and demand analysis — including what-if scenarios — to optimize service levels, costs, and inventory positioning. You will collaborate on raw material planning, identify excess goods, and work closely with suppliers to align on build plans. A typical day involves analyzing supply and demand data, running scenario models, updating supply plans and dashboards, and engaging with suppliers and cross-functional stakeholders to resolve constraints and address inventory risks. This is a long-term opportunity with strong potential for conversion, making it ideal for a career-oriented individual eager to grow within a high-impact supply chain environment.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Support the development and execution of forward and reverse supply plans in coordination with factories and logistics partners
  • Perform supply and demand analysis, including what-if scenarios, to optimize service levels, costs, and inventory positioning
  • Build and maintain dashboards, interpret complex data sets, and conduct root cause analysis to support inventory and supply decisions
  • Utilize supply chain tools to streamline operations, contribute to process automation, and improve system scalability
  • Act as a liaison between cross-functional teams to ensure priorities are clearly defined, communicated, and executed
  • Communicate updates, risks, and escalations to stakeholders in a clear and timely manner
  • Assist in raw material planning, product transitions, last-time buys, and excess inventory mitigation strategies
  • Collaborate on rework and redeployment of goods and support buffer strategy development
  • Contribute to planning strategies that balance service levels, cost, and inventory under demand uncertainty
  • Partner with suppliers to resolve constraints, align on build plans, and monitor capacity, compliance, and performance metrics
  • Support mid-term capacity planning and investment alignment with supplier partners
  • Analyze supply and demand scenarios and assist in developing contingency plans

Requirements:

  • Experience in supply chain, demand planning, operations, sourcing, or manufacturing
  • Hands-on experience with data analysis and analytics-driven decision making
  • Experience in supplier operations and logistics management
  • Experience with order fulfillment processes and inventory lifecycle management
  • Preferred: Bachelor's degree plus 4 or more years, or Master's degree plus 2 or more years of relevant supply chain or operations experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, or a related field with relevant experience
  • Master's degree in a related field, or equivalent professional experience in lieu of a degree
  • Supply chain and demand planning knowledge, including forward and reverse logistics concepts
  • Strong data analysis skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and identify trends or gaps
  • Experience with supply planning tools and analytics platforms
  • Proficiency in building dashboards and conducting root cause analysis
  • Supplier operations and logistics management capabilities
  • Understanding of order fulfillment processes and inventory management principles
  • Continuous improvement mindset with the ability to identify and implement process enhancements
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Effective problem-solving skills with the ability to develop actionable solutions
  • Basic financial acumen to assess supply chain effectiveness and cost impacts
  • High attention to detail ensuring accuracy and completeness in documentation and data
  • Agility to quickly process and adapt to new information in a fast-paced environment
