Product Designer V

About the Role
Meta is seeking a temporary Product Designer to support cross-functional teams in delivering thoughtful, accessible, and high-quality product experiences. In this role, you will partner with product, engineering, research, and other stakeholders to help define user problems, explore solution options, and produce design deliverables that support product development.

This is a temporary engagement and is not a full-time position at Meta. Engagement duration, schedule, and specific deliverables will be defined at the start of the assignment.

You are a senior-level designer who can immediately contribute to the project without extensive handholding.

Strong preference for candidates with backgrounds in e-commerce, banking, or payment processing, as these roles involve the level of complexity required for this position. Prefer public-facing product experience over backend or system-level work

Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners to understand product goals, user needs, and constraints.
- Translate requirements into user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity design solutions as appropriate.
- Apply interaction, visual, and systems thinking to improve usability and clarity across the product experience.
- Incorporate feedback and iterate on designs efficiently based on reviews, research insights, and product learnings.
- Contribute to and align with existing design systems and established patterns where applicable.
- Communicate design decisions clearly through documentation, presentations, and design reviews.

Minimum Requirements
- Demonstrated product design experience delivering end-to-end design work (e.g., discovery through execution) for digital products.
- Strong portfolio showcasing interaction design, visual design, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with common design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma or equivalent).
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams (product, engineering, research) in fast-paced environments.
- Understanding of inclusive, accessible, and user-centered design principles.
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to explain design rationale and incorporate feedback.
- Experience with Vibe Coding a plus

Location
Remote (Canada) - East or West coast time zones but candidates must be flexible with time zones to participate in meetings scheduled for East or West Coast times

Education
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience
