You will help define engineering standards, make architectural decisions, improve application performance, and support other engineers through code reviews, mentoring, and knowledge sharing. You should be comfortable working independently, leading technical initiatives, and operating effectively within a cross-functional agile team.

Your primary goal will be to deliver secure, maintainable, and high-quality frontend solutions that meet user needs and support business objectives.

What you’ll get to do

  • Design, build, test, and maintain scalable web applications using React, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
  • Translate product requirements and design specifications into intuitive, responsive, and accessible user interfaces.
  • Define and evolve frontend architecture, coding standards, reusable patterns, and engineering best practices.
  • Build and maintain reusable components, shared libraries, and design-system foundations.
  • Integrate frontend applications with RESTful APIs, GraphQL services, and other backend systems.
  • Improve application performance, reliability, security, and browser compatibility.
  • Monitor and optimize Core Web Vitals, page-load performance, bundle size, and runtime efficiency.
  • Write clean, well-documented, and maintainable code supported by appropriate unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
  • Review code, identify technical risks, and provide constructive feedback to other engineers.
  • Diagnose and resolve production issues using logging, monitoring, analytics, and observability tools.
  • Collaborate with product, design, backend, quality assurance, security, and infrastructure teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Break down complex initiatives into clear, achievable technical tasks and contribute to delivery planning and estimation.
  • Improve development workflows through automation, tooling, continuous integration, and continuous delivery.
  • Contribute to technical documentation, architectural decisions, and engineering knowledge-sharing sessions.
  • Mentor frontend engineers and help strengthen the team’s technical capabilities.
  • Evaluate emerging frontend technologies and introduce them where they provide measurable value.

To succeed in this role, you should have

  • At least seven years of professional software engineering experience, with significant experience building production-grade frontend applications.
  • At least seven years of experience working with JavaScript and React.
  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, React, HTML, and modern CSS.
  • A solid understanding of React concepts, including hooks, component composition, state management, routing, and rendering behavior.
  • Experience designing and maintaining scalable frontend architectures and reusable component systems.
  • Strong knowledge of responsive design, browser compatibility, semantic HTML, and web accessibility.
  • Experience integrating frontend applications with APIs and handling authentication, authorization, validation, caching, and error states.
  • Experience with frontend testing tools and practices, including unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
  • Familiarity with modern frontend tooling, package managers, build systems, and continuous integration pipelines.
  • Experience using Git and working within collaborative code-review processes.
  • An understanding of frontend performance optimization, application security, and production monitoring.
  • Experience with observability or application-monitoring platforms such as New Relic, Datadog, Sentry, or similar tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate complex technical issues systematically.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and technical leadership skills.
  • The ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and take ownership of outcomes.
  • Experience working in an agile product-development environment.

Added Advantages

  • Experience with Next.js or another React-based application framework.
  • Experience with GraphQL, server-side rendering, static-site generation, or micro-frontend architectures.
  • Experience building or contributing to a design system.
  • Familiarity with frontend security practices and secure development principles.
  • Experience with feature flags, experimentation, product analytics, and data-informed development.
  • Experience working on high-traffic, transaction-heavy, financial, or other highly regulated products.
  • Experience mentoring engineers or leading frontend technical initiatives.

What success looks like

  • You consistently deliver reliable, accessible, and maintainable frontend solutions.
  • You improve the performance and usability of customer-facing products.
