About the Role
What if your deep knowledge of semiconductor materials or molecular modeling could directly shape how AI reasons through the most complex problems in materials science? We're looking for Materials Science experts — Masters and PhD holders — to help build and train cutting-edge AI models that need to think like a scientist.
This is a fully remote, flexible contract role. No AI background required — just rigorous domain expertise and the ability to communicate it clearly.

What You'll Do
- Develop, solve, and review advanced materials science problems with real-world scientific relevance
- Apply your expertise in semiconductor materials, molecular modeling, or related fields to design complex, high-quality problem statements
- Evaluate AI-generated responses for scientific accuracy, depth, and reasoning quality
- Collaborate asynchronously with AI researchers and fellow domain experts to enhance model performance
- Ensure scientific rigor, clarity, and precision across all your contributions
- Complete task-based assignments independently on your own schedule
Who You Are
- Master's or PhD in Materials Science or a closely related discipline
- Strong expertise in semiconductor materials, molecular modeling, or a related subfield
- Proficient in Python or MATLAB for research or technical problem-solving
- Exceptionally clear written communicator — you can explain complex science precisely
- Detail-oriented and consistent, with a methodical approach to technical work
- Fluent in English
Nice to Have
- Prior experience with data annotation, data quality review, or AI evaluation workflows
- Background in scientific writing, peer review, or technical documentation
- Familiarity with AI tools or machine learning concepts as an end user
- Experience across multiple subfields within materials science
