About the Role

We're looking for Material Science specialists — Masters and PhD-level — to tackle advanced scientific problems that help train and refine cutting-edge AI models being developed by the world's leading research labs.
This is a fully remote, flexible contract role built for researchers and domain experts who want to apply their knowledge in a high-impact, intellectually stimulating environment. No prior AI experience needed — just rigorous scientific training and a passion for getting things right.

What You'll Do
- Develop, solve, and critically review advanced material science problems with real-world relevance
- Apply your expertise in semiconductor materials, molecular modeling, or related domains to design complex, rigorous problem statements
- Collaborate asynchronously with AI researchers and fellow domain experts to improve AI reasoning in technical science
- Ensure scientific accuracy, clarity, and depth across all deliverables
- Help push the boundaries of what AI can understand and communicate in the physical sciences
Who You Are
- Master's or PhD in Material Science or a closely related field from a top university
- Strong expertise in semiconductor materials, molecular modeling, or adjacent research areas
- Comfortable coding in Python or MATLAB for research, simulation, or data analysis
- Exceptional written communication skills — you can explain complex science with precision and clarity
- Detail-oriented and scientifically rigorous, with a high standard for accuracy
- Fluent in English
Nice to Have
- Prior experience with data annotation, data quality assurance, or AI evaluation workflows
- Background in computational materials science or condensed matter physics
- Familiarity with scientific writing, peer review, or technical documentation
- Experience collaborating across interdisciplinary or distributed research teams
