About the Role

We're looking for Chemistry Specialists with advanced degrees to design, solve, and evaluate challenging chemistry problems that train cutting-edge AI models to think like scientists.
This is a fully remote, flexible contract role built for working researchers, postdocs, and chemistry professionals who want to apply their deep domain knowledge in a new and meaningful direction. No AI background required — just rigorous scientific expertise and a passion for getting things right.

What You'll Do
- Design and develop complex, real-world chemistry problems spanning organic, inorganic, physical, or computational chemistry
- Solve and review advanced problems to ensure scientific accuracy, depth, and rigor
- Apply your domain expertise to craft nuanced problem statements that challenge and improve AI reasoning
- Collaborate asynchronously with AI researchers and fellow domain experts to refine model outputs
- Evaluate AI-generated chemistry content and provide structured, detailed scientific feedback
- Work independently on task-based assignments — fully on your own schedule
Who You Are
- Master's or PhD in Chemistry or a closely related field
- Deep expertise in at least one of: organic, inorganic, physical, or computational chemistry
- Experience with Python or computational chemistry tools such as Gaussian, VASP, or similar platforms
- Exceptional written communication skills — you can explain complex concepts with clarity and precision
- Naturally detail-oriented and committed to scientific rigor in everything you produce
- Self-motivated and reliable when working independently
Nice to Have
- Prior experience with data annotation, data quality assessment, or AI evaluation workflows
- Background in academic research, scientific publishing, or curriculum development
- Familiarity with molecular modeling, quantum chemistry, or cheminformatics
- Experience writing or reviewing technical chemistry problems for education or professional use
