About the Role

We're looking for Mathematics experts — Masters and PhD holders — to help build and refine cutting-edge AI models by crafting, solving, and evaluating complex mathematical problems.

This is a fully remote, flexible contract role designed for serious mathematicians who want meaningful, intellectually stimulating work on their own schedule. No prior AI experience needed — just deep mathematical expertise and a sharp eye for rigor.

What You'll Do

  • Develop, solve, and review advanced mathematical problems with real-world relevance
  • Apply your expertise in algebra, calculus, statistics, discrete mathematics, or related areas to design complex, meaningful problem statements
  • Evaluate AI-generated mathematical reasoning for correctness, rigor, and clarity
  • Collaborate asynchronously with AI researchers and domain experts to improve model performance
  • Ensure mathematical depth and precision across all deliverables
  • Work independently on task-based assignments at your own pace

Who You Are

  • Master's or PhD in Mathematics or a closely related field
  • Deep expertise in one or more of: algebra, calculus, statistics, or discrete mathematics
  • Comfortable coding in Python, MATLAB, or Mathematica for research or applied work
  • Exceptionally precise — you catch errors others miss and hold yourself to a high standard
  • Clear and articulate written communicator who can explain complex ideas with precision
  • Self-motivated and reliable when working independently

Nice to Have

  • Prior experience with data annotation, data quality, or AI evaluation workflows
  • Background in academic research, technical writing, or curriculum development
  • Familiarity with AI tools or language model outputs as an end user
  • Experience reviewing or grading advanced mathematical work
