Job description
Mercor is seeking Phylogenetics PhDs and Domain Experts for a premier project with one of the world's leading AI laboratories.
In this role, you will apply advanced subject matter expertise to help develop high-quality datasets used to train and evaluate state-of-the-art large language models.
Contributors will help create challenging domain-specific problems that push the boundaries of AI reasoning in evolutionary biology and related disciplines.
Responsibilities
- Create difficult, high-quality problems within your area of expertise
- Contribute domain knowledge to advanced AI training and evaluation initiatives
- Help improve the reasoning capabilities of frontier AI systems
- Maintain high standards of scientific rigor and accuracy
- Review and refine domain-specific content when required
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure quality and consistency
Required Qualifications
Candidates should possess a PhD, advanced degree, or equivalent research experience in one or more of the following fields:
- Evolutionary Biology
- Phylogenetics
