Join a leading AI lab's cutting-edge Generative AI team and help build foundational AI models from the ground up.
This opportunity is seeking experienced MLOps Engineers with deep expertise in PyTorch and kernel-level programming using Triton or Pallas.
The role focuses on AI model training and evaluation work, including designing MLOps tasks, evaluating technical solutions, and creating high-quality training data for frontier AI systems.
This is a full-time W-2 employment opportunity through Cincinnatus LLC, with placement on a leading AI lab team as part of its extended workforce.
Key Responsibilities
AI Training & Evaluation
- Design challenging, domain-relevant MLOps and ML systems tasks
- Create accurate and well-structured technical solutions
- Evaluate task submissions and provide written technical feedback
- Help improve AI model performance through domain expertise
MLOps & Infrastructure
Guide research and engineering teams on:
- MLOps practices
- ML infrastructure
- Training systems
- Distributed systems
- Framework-level engineering topics
Develop evaluation frameworks and grading rubrics for:
- Training pipeline design
- Distributed systems reasoning
- Kernel optimization
- ML systems engineering
Collaboration
- Work with subject matter experts to ensure consistency and accuracy across training datasets
- Help identify knowledge gaps and improve model performance
Core Qualifications
2+ years of professional experience in:
- ML Infrastructure
- MLOps
- ML Systems Engineering
Experience at recognized, top-tier organizations
Hands-on production experience with PyTorch at scale
Experience building or optimizing custom GPU kernels using:
- Triton
- Pallas
Demonstrated career progression
Ability to work reliably for 40 hours per week
Strong written communication and technical explanation skills
