Role Overview

Mercor is partnering with a leading AI organization to engage credentialed finance professionals in improving the financial reasoning capabilities of advanced AI systems.

This flexible, contract-based opportunity involves evaluating financial scenarios, verifying calculations and financial rules, and refining AI-generated outputs for accuracy and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review AI-generated outputs across a variety of finance topics
  • Verify figures, calculations, and financial rules using authoritative sources
  • Perform quantitative checks and validate financial reasoning
  • Assess model-generated financial analysis and provide structured feedback
  • Collaborate with researchers to improve AI model performance
  • Evaluate the accuracy and consistency of financial conclusions and recommendations

Ideal Qualifications

  • U.S.-based finance professional holding one or more active credentials: CPA, EA, CFP, or CFA
  • 2+ years of experience in tax, financial planning, financial analysis, investment banking, private equity, financial advisory, or related finance roles
  • Ability to verify figures and rules using authoritative sources
  • Strong quantitative reasoning skills and ability to independently recompute and validate financial calculations
  • Comfortable researching unfamiliar financial rules using official guidance and source materials
  • Strong analytical and written communication skills

Contract & Payment Terms

  • Independent contractor engagement
  • Fully remote, asynchronous work, flexible scheduling
  • $100-$200/hour — weekly payments through Stripe Connect
  • Projects may be extended, shortened, or concluded based on business needs and performance
