Job description
Turing is seeking Chemistry Experts with a Master's, PhD, or Postdoctoral background to help improve and evaluate frontier Large Language Models (LLMs). In this remote contractor role, you will create advanced chemistry problems, develop detailed scientific explanations, and assess AI-generated responses across a broad range of chemistry topics.
You will work with multimodal content—including chemical equations, reaction mechanisms, diagrams, and visual representations—to help build high-quality datasets that improve the reasoning capabilities of next-generation AI systems.
Key Responsibilities
Develop AI Evaluation Content
- Create and solve advanced chemistry problems spanning undergraduate through postgraduate-level concepts.
- Develop clear, step-by-step explanations supported by scientific reasoning.
- Produce evaluation content covering diverse chemistry disciplines.
Evaluate AI Chemistry Reasoning
- Review AI-generated solutions for technical accuracy and logical consistency.
- Provide detailed annotations, corrections, and constructive feedback.
- Help improve the quality of chemistry-focused AI training datasets.
Create Multimodal Scientific Content
Work with:
- Chemical equations
- Reaction mechanisms
- Molecular structures
- Scientific diagrams
- Energy diagrams
- Visual chemistry representations
Combine textual and visual explanations to improve scientific understanding.
Solve Advanced Chemistry Problems
Analyze complex topics including:
- Organic reaction mechanisms
- Chemical equilibrium
- Stoichiometry
- Thermodynamics
- Electrochemistry
Explain concepts clearly using structured reasoning and scientific illustrations where appropriate.
Required Qualifications
