Alignerr

AI Expert - Healthcare Operations Contractor
Remote (Global) $35 – $55/hr June 15, 2026

Job description

Health Policy & Management — AI Data Trainer

About the Role

Your public health expertise is more valuable than ever — and not just in traditional settings. We're looking for Masters in Public Health (MPH) professionals to help train and evaluate cutting-edge AI models on some of the most complex and consequential health topics in the world.

At Alignerr, we partner with the world's leading AI research labs to build smarter, safer, and more accurate AI systems. As a Health Policy & Management AI Data Trainer, you'll use your domain knowledge to challenge, evaluate, and refine how AI understands population health, epidemiology, health equity, and evidence-based policy — work that has real-world impact at scale.

This is a fully remote, flexible contractor role. You set your schedule.

What You'll Do

  • Design Complex Health Scenarios — Create advanced public health problems involving disease outbreak simulations, health equity assessments, and statistical interpretation of clinical trials and epidemiological data.
  • Author Ground-Truth Responses — Write rigorous, step-by-step solutions grounded in peer-reviewed research, biostatistical methods, and current guidelines from authoritative bodies like the CDC and WHO.
  • Audit AI Health Reasoning — Evaluate AI-generated health advice and policy recommendations for accuracy, logical consistency, and adherence to ethical standards. Identify misinformation, bias, and gaps in reasoning.
  • Refine Model Understanding — Provide structured feedback that helps AI distinguish correlation from causation, communicate risk effectively, and respond with cultural sensitivity across diverse populations.

Who You Are

  • Holds a Masters in Public Health (MPH), MSPH, or closely related graduate degree
  • Strong foundational knowledge in at least two of: Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Environmental Health, or Health Policy
  • Able to translate complex health data into clear, accurate, and culturally sensitive written communication
  • High attention to detail — especially around statistical significance, data citations, and intervention logic
  • Self-motivated, reliable, and comfortable working independently
  • No prior AI experience required

Nice to Have

  • Experience with data annotation, quality evaluation, or research coordination
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools such as R, SAS, or Stata
  • Background in health communication, clinical research, or public health monitoring

Why Join Us

  • Fully remote — work from anywhere, on your schedule
  • Flexible commitment — 10 to 40 hours per week, you choose
  • High-impact work — directly shape how AI handles real-world health information
  • Cutting-edge projects — collaborate with leading AI research teams and labs
  • Freelance autonomy — contractor flexibility with meaningful, substantive work
  • Ongoing opportunities — strong performers are considered for continued and expanded contracts
