Job description
Electrical Engineering — AI Data Trainer
About the Role
What if your electrical engineering knowledge could shape the future of AI? At Alignerr, we partner with the world's leading AI research labs to build smarter, more reliable AI models — and we need expert engineers to help get there.
As an Electrical Engineering AI Data Trainer, you'll stress-test advanced language models on real engineering problems, expose their weaknesses, and help train them to reason like a seasoned engineer. Your domain expertise becomes the benchmark that the next generation of AI learns from.
- Organization: Alignerr
- Type: Hourly Contract
- Location: Remote
- Commitment: 10–40 hours/week (flexible)
What You'll Do
- Design Challenging Problems — Create advanced electrical engineering problems spanning circuit analysis, power systems, signal processing, electromagnetics, and more to push AI to its limits
- Author Ground-Truth Solutions — Develop rigorous, step-by-step technical solutions that serve as the gold standard for AI learning and benchmarking
- Audit Technical Accuracy — Review AI-generated code, circuit diagrams, and mathematical proofs for correctness, safety, and adherence to standards such as IEEE and NEC
- Sharpen AI Reasoning — Identify logical flaws in AI-generated engineering responses and provide structured, actionable feedback to improve model performance
Who You Are
- Degree in Electrical Engineering — Master's (in progress or completed) or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a closely related field
- Strong Domain Knowledge — Deep expertise in one or more core areas: VLSI, control systems, telecommunications, power electronics, signal processing, or embedded systems
- Clear Technical Writer — Able to communicate complex engineering concepts precisely and accessibly in written form
- Detail-Oriented — High precision when reviewing equations, circuit logic, simulations, and technical documentation
- No AI experience required — if you know your engineering, we'll handle the rest
Nice to Have
- Prior experience with data annotation, technical evaluation, or quality assurance workflows
- Familiarity with simulation tools (MATLAB, SPICE, etc.)
Why Join Us
- Work on genuinely cutting-edge AI projects alongside top research labs
- Fully remote and flexible — set your own hours, work from anywhere
- Freelance autonomy with the backing of a global, mission-driven team
- Directly influence how AI understands and applies electrical engineering
- Potential for ongoing work and contract extension
