Electrical Engineering
Job description
Electrical Engineering Expert (AI Training)
About the Role
We're looking for experienced electrical engineers to help train and improve cutting-edge AI models. Your technical expertise will directly shape how AI reasons through complex engineering problems — from circuit analysis to power systems to signal processing.
This is a fully remote, flexible contract role that lets you apply your deep domain knowledge in a new and impactful way, without leaving your current career behind.
- Organization: Alignerr
- Type: Hourly Contract
- Location: Remote
- Commitment: 10–40 hours/week
What You'll Do
- Design Challenging Problems — Create advanced electrical engineering scenarios across domains like circuit analysis, power systems, electromagnetics, signal processing, and control systems to stress-test AI reasoning
- Author Ground-Truth Solutions — Write rigorous, step-by-step technical solutions that serve as benchmarks for AI learning and evaluation
- Audit Technical Accuracy — Review AI-generated outputs including code, circuit diagrams, and mathematical proofs for correctness, safety, and compliance with engineering standards (e.g., IEEE, NEC)
- Sharpen AI Reasoning — Identify logical gaps and errors in AI-generated engineering reasoning, then provide structured feedback to improve model performance
- Work Asynchronously — Complete assignments on your own schedule with full flexibility over your hours
Who You Are
- Holds a Master's degree (in progress or completed) or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a closely related field
- Strong foundational expertise in one or more core areas such as VLSI, control systems, telecommunications, power electronics, or embedded systems
- Able to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and precisely in written form
- High attention to detail when reviewing mathematical equations, circuit logic, and technical documentation
- Self-motivated and comfortable working independently
- No prior AI experience required
Nice to Have
- Experience with data annotation, data quality assessment, or AI evaluation workflows
- Familiarity with simulation tools or engineering software (e.g., MATLAB, SPICE, LabVIEW)
- Background in academic research or technical writing
Why Join Us
- Work on genuinely cutting-edge AI projects in collaboration with world-leading research labs
- Fully remote and flexible — structure your work around your life, not the other way around
- Freelance perks: autonomy, variety, and global collaboration
- Make a real impact on how AI understands and applies electrical engineering knowledge
- Potential for ongoing work and contract extension
