About the Role
Turing is seeking experienced Investment Banking and M&A professionals to review AI benchmark tasks built around realistic buy-side acquisition scenarios.
In this role, you will evaluate whether benchmark exercises meet the standards expected by senior finance practitioners. You will assess deal realism, transaction assumptions, financial modeling quality, scoring methodologies, and AI-generated solutions to ensure benchmarks accurately reflect real-world investment banking and M&A decision-making.
No prior AI experience is required. The focus is on applying deep transaction and financial analysis expertise to improve the quality of AI evaluation systems.
Key Responsibilities
Review M&A Benchmark Scenarios
- Evaluate AI benchmark tasks based on realistic buy-side acquisition cases
- Assess transaction structures and deal assumptions
- Review the realism of business and financial scenarios
Assess Financial Analysis Quality
- Review financial models, transaction analysis, valuation assumptions, and financial data quality
- Ensure outputs align with professional investment banking standards
Evaluate Benchmark Methodology
- Assess scoring rubrics for accuracy, rigor, fairness, and resistance to gaming
- Identify weaknesses in benchmark design and evaluation frameworks
Review AI-Generated Solutions
- Compare model outputs against senior practitioner expectations
- Determine whether work products are technically correct, decision-useful, and supervisor-ready
- Identify areas where solutions fall short of professional standards
Provide Structured Feedback
- Deliver detailed recommendations to improve benchmark quality, task design, financial realism, and evaluation methodology
- Participate in calibration exercises to ensure review consistency
Required Qualifications
- Senior Associate-level experience in Investment Banking, Private Equity, Corporate Development, or M&A Advisory
- Strong expertise in Financial Modeling, Valuation, Transaction Analysis, and Mergers & Acquisitions
- Ability to distinguish between technically correct outputs and professional-grade work products
- Based in North America (US or Canada)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience at leading investment banks or private equity firms (Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, J.P. Morgan, Evercore, Lazard, KKR, Blackstone, Apollo, etc.)
- Experience managing analysts or associates, reviewing financial models, evaluating investment case studies or memos
- Professional credentials such as CFA, CPA, or MBA
