Government / Public Administration Evaluator

About the Role
Mercor is seeking expert evaluators with deep experience in government and public administration to assess AI-generated work products for accuracy, rigor, and domain quality.
This is a remote, hourly contract opportunity focused on reviewing documents, spreadsheets, and presentation decks produced by AI systems.
Evaluators will apply real-world government, policy, and public-sector expertise to determine whether outputs meet professional standards, demonstrate sound administrative reasoning, and accurately reflect public administration principles, governance frameworks, and government operations.
What You'll Do
- Evaluate AI-generated artifacts including:
- Documents
- Spreadsheets
- Slide decks
- Assess outputs using domain-specific quality rubrics
- Review work for:
- Policy accuracy
- Administrative rigor
- Domain quality
- Professional presentation
- Identify:
- Factual errors
- Policy inaccuracies
- Governance-related issues
- Presentation weaknesses
- Aesthetic issues
- Logical inconsistencies
- Provide clear and structured written feedback
- Apply professional judgment when evaluating government, public policy, and public administration content
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional experience in:
- Government
- Public Administration
- Public Policy
- Regulatory Affairs
- Public Sector Operations
- Related government disciplines
- Native or professional fluency in English
- Strong analytical and evaluation skills
- Ability to assess public-sector materials objectively and consistently
Technical Requirements
- Highly proficient with:
- Microsoft Office
- Google Workspace

Analysis Tools
- Microsoft Excel
- Google Sheets
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree or higher
- Advanced degree in:
- Public Administration (MPA)
- Public Policy (MPP)
- Political Science
- Government Studies
- Business Administration
- Related disciplines
- Experience reviewing:
- Government reports
- Policy documents
- Regulatory analyses
- Public-sector presentations
- Administrative documentation
- Experience evaluating policy recommendations, government programs, or public-sector performance metrics
Contract & Payment Terms
- Independent contractor engagement
- Fully remote work
