Household Data Specialist - Video Capture (PH)
Job description
Help train the next generation of personal robotics by capturing high-quality video demonstrations of everyday household tasks.
In this role, you will use a UMI gripper wearable device that mimics a robot's hand while allowing you to perform tasks naturally. Your recordings will become training data used to teach robots how to interact with real household environments.
Key Responsibilities
Capture and submit high-quality video demonstrations of household tasks using a UMI gripper wearable device
Follow detailed task instructions and project specifications
Ensure recordings meet strict quality and compliance requirements
Review feedback from project reviewers and improve future submissions
Set up and operate:
- UMI gripper devices
- Recording equipment
- VR hardware
Accurately perform household activities while demonstrating realistic hand movements
Maintain clear communication with project teams
Consistently meet weekly data collection goals
Required Skills & Qualifications
Strong attention to detail
Ability to follow detailed instructions precisely
Manual dexterity and comfort performing repetitive physical tasks
Experience using or learning specialized devices and equipment
Ability to incorporate feedback and improve performance over time
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Reliable access to a fully equipped household environment in the Philippines, including:
- Kitchen
- Living spaces
- Common household items
Stable high-speed internet capable of uploading large video files
Comfort wearing a VR headset for extended periods

Compensation Structure
This is a pay-per-task project.
Compensation is based on approved hours of submitted data that meet project requirements.
Pilot Phase
- Initial approval-based compensation rate
- Approximately 2 hours of review effort may be required to produce 1 hour of approved data
Post-Calibration
- Higher compensation rates become available after quality benchmarks are consistently met
- Efficiency and earnings potential generally improve with experience and familiarity
Equipment & Setup
All required equipment will be shipped at no cost, including:
- VR headset
- Wearable hand-tracking gloves
- Related project hardware
Full setup instructions and onboarding guidance will be provided.
Applicants should ensure their home environment meets project requirements related to:

Start Timeline
- Hiring typically occurs within 48 hours
- Selected candidates are expected to begin onboarding promptly
- First tasks are generally expected within 24 hours of onboarding completion
