Job description
Mercor is seeking U.S.-based underwriting experts with direct experience in Excess & Specialty Insurance, particularly underwriting SME and commercial accounts.
This engagement supports AI training and evaluation initiatives by leveraging real-world underwriting expertise in risk assessment, pricing, coverage design, and portfolio management.

- Commitment: Approximately 20 hours
- Potential for larger follow-on engagements based on project outcomes
Requirements
- Based in the United States
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Excess & Specialty Insurance underwriting
- 5+ years preferred
- Direct experience underwriting SME and commercial risks
- Strong understanding of:
- Risk selection
- Pricing methodologies
- Coverage structuring
- Portfolio management
