The Opportunity

This position coordinates and supports project management activities, monitors, controls, updates, and tracks changes to existing projects and programs.  Administers project initiation process and unassigned projects, reviews and oversees resource metadata in Project Server (aka, One Plan or other project management system), supports, prepares and distributes various reports.  Incumbent facilitates meetings, maintains project plans, and supports the capital expense project process.   Incumbent coordinates and supports critical aspects relating to successful delivery of Velera corporate projects, programs and portfolios.

A Day in the Life

  • Support SPMO operational needs, including but not limited to, data quality assurance, PPM operations, Teams configuration oversight, and related support needs.
  • Track financial aspects of projects, programs and portfolios as assigned; meet with project owners and Finance staff to discuss budgetary discrepancies
  • May assist Project and/or Program Managers by supporting day to day operational deliverables and tasks
  • May administer unassigned “concept” projects, including ensuring project plans and project metadata correctly reflect project’s current condition, and assigning resources and managing timesheet updates as needed
  • Audit and monitor projects for compliance and quality
  • Create / design reports; validate and test reports and dashboards
  • Maintain department SharePoint site including uploading, editing and organizing documents, managing page layouts, and creating and maintaining lists, updating permissions
  • Create reports and other documentation output for research, project management and status
  • Perform all other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Associates degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required
  • Two (2) years project coordination, project administration or project management experience desired. Expertise in the following Microsoft products: Word, PowerPoint, Excel and SharePoint are required.

  • Ability to manage multiple assignments, work in fast-paced environment, and meet deadlines
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written formats and give presentations utilizing various audiovisual support aids
  • Ability to exercise discretion and good judgment in making decisions
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including dipolomacy, facilitation and the ability wot work effectively with cross-functional teams and all levels of management
  • Ability to maintain composure and focus in difficult situations; effectively resolve conflicts and resolve issues without emotion
  • Ability to travel as needed, less than 25%

Pay Equity

$54,000.00 - $68,800.00

Actual Pay will be adjusted based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
