Job description
As a Junior PCB Design Engineer (DesignSpark), you will apply your PCB design expertise to help train next-generation AI systems.
Your work will contribute to the development of AI models through the review, analysis, annotation, and documentation of real-world PCB designs and engineering workflows.
No prior AI experience is required. PCB design expertise is the primary qualification.
Key Responsibilities
Review, interpret, and evaluate PCB designs using DesignSpark PCB software
Verify design accuracy and compliance with project specifications
Provide detailed feedback and annotations on:
- PCB schematics
- PCB layouts
- Design decisions
Contribute technical knowledge to the creation of high-quality AI training datasets
Collaborate with AI engineers and technical teams to communicate:
- Industry best practices
- Common design challenges
- Engineering workflows
Document:
- Design rationales
- Common PCB issues
- Recommended solutions
Assist in creating PCB design guidelines and reference materials
Maintain clear written documentation of findings, recommendations, and completed work
Required Skills & Qualifications
Proficiency with DesignSpark PCB software
Strong understanding of:
- PCB design principles
- Schematic capture
- PCB layout processes
Basic knowledge of:
- Electronic components
- Circuit design
- PCB manufacturing considerations
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to provide technical feedback and documentation
High attention to detail when reviewing engineering designs
Ability to work independently in a remote environment
Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with AI-related projects
Experience supporting AI training initiatives
Experience creating:
- Engineering documentation
- Technical training materials

Familiarity with PCB design tools beyond DesignSpark
