Investment and Banking Expert

This is a remote contractor opportunity for experienced investment banking, corporate finance, private equity, and investment professionals to help train and evaluate advanced AI systems.

As an Investment & Banking Subject Matter Expert (SME), you will review AI-generated investment, valuation, banking, and corporate finance outputs, create expert financial content, evaluate analytical reasoning, and provide detailed feedback on financial models, valuation methodologies, deal structures, and investment analysis.

This role focuses on improving AI capabilities across investment banking, mergers and acquisitions, valuation, capital markets, financial modeling, and corporate finance decision-making.

Important Note

There is no immediate active project attached to this role.

Qualified applicants will join the expert network and may be contacted first when future investment and banking opportunities become available.

Key Responsibilities

Develop AI Training Content

Create expert-level finance deliverables including:

• Valuation analyses
• Investment memos
• Model walkthroughs
• Pitchbook-style summaries
• Deal analyses
• Corporate finance scenarios
• Due diligence assessments

Evaluate AI Outputs

Review and rank AI-generated responses based on:

• Numerical accuracy
• Financial rigor
• Clarity
• Analytical quality
• Decision usefulness
• Valuation correctness

Investment Banking Quality Assurance

Identify issues involving:

• DCF valuation logic
• Comparable company analysis
• Precedent transaction analysis
• Deal structuring
• M&A assumptions
• Capital markets concepts
• Accounting linkages
• Risk analysis

Financial Modeling & Valuation Analysis

Evaluate and validate:

• Three-statement models
• Financial forecasts
• Sensitivity analyses
• Scenario analyses
• Accretion/dilution logic
• LBO fundamentals
• Working capital assumptions
• Debt schedules

Capital Markets & Corporate Finance

Review analysis involving:

• Equity financing
• Debt financing
• Cost of capital
• Credit metrics
• Covenants
• Issuance mechanics
• Capital allocation decisions

Expert Feedback

Write detailed explanations demonstrating:

• Sound valuation methodology
• Strong financial reasoning
• Investment analysis best practices
• Corporate finance principles
• Decision-ready recommendations

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in:

  • Finance
  • Accounting
  • Economics
  • Business
  • Related fields

• Professional qualifications such as:

  • MBA
  • CFA

are strongly preferred.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in:

  • Investment banking
  • Private equity
  • Corporate development

• Expert knowledge of:

• Strong accounting knowledge including:
