Industrial/Manufacturing Engineer — Robotics

Mercor is seeking industrial and mechanical engineers to help train AI-powered robotics systems for manufacturing and commercial environments.

This role focuses on evaluating AI performance across:

Contributors will apply real-world industrial engineering expertise to ensure AI-generated operational guidance is practical, accurate, and safe for physical manufacturing environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate AI-generated outputs related to:

  • Robotics operations
  • Manufacturing workflows
  • Equipment monitoring
  • Sensor interpretation
  • Industrial automation systems

• Assess AI systems for:

  • Operational practicality
  • Safety
  • Workflow efficiency
  • Technical accuracy

• Analyze manufacturing and production scenarios involving:

  • Production line operations
  • Process optimization
  • Industrial equipment
  • Automation workflows

• Apply expertise in:

  • Industrial engineering
  • Mechanical systems
  • Manufacturing operations
  • Robotics workflows

to improve AI-powered industrial systems.

• Identify:
  • Unsafe operational guidance
  • Workflow inefficiencies
  • Equipment interpretation errors
  • Automation inconsistencies

in AI-generated outputs.

• Provide structured technical feedback to improve robotics and manufacturing AI systems
• Collaborate remotely with AI research and evaluation teams
