Mercor is seeking geospatial scientists to help train AI systems on satellite imagery analysis and remote sensing interpretation.
This role focuses on evaluating AI performance across:
- Satellite imagery analysis

- Environmental monitoring

Contributors will apply advanced geospatial expertise to ensure AI-generated outputs are scientifically accurate and operationally reliable.
Key Responsibilities
Evaluate AI-generated outputs related to:
- Satellite imagery
- Aerial imagery
- Geospatial analysis
- Remote sensing workflows
Assess AI systems for:
- Scientific accuracy
- Spatial consistency
- Classification quality
- Environmental interpretation reliability
Analyze and review:
- Land use classification outputs
- Change detection workflows
- Environmental monitoring data
- Geospatial feature extraction results
Apply expertise in:
- GIS analysis
- Remote sensing methodologies
- Spatial data interpretation
- Earth observation systems
to improve AI-powered geospatial analysis systems.
- Identify:
- Classification errors
- Spatial inaccuracies
- Incomplete feature extraction
- Analytical weaknesses
in AI-generated outputs.
- Provide structured technical feedback to improve AI reasoning and geospatial interpretation systems
- Collaborate remotely with AI research and evaluation teams
Required Skills & Qualifications
Professional experience in:
- Geospatial science
- Remote sensing
- GIS analysis
- Satellite imagery interpretation
Advanced knowledge of:
- Earth observation systems
- Spatial analysis methodologies
- Environmental monitoring
- Geospatial data processing
Ability to evaluate whether AI-generated geospatial outputs are:
