Role Overview
Prolific is seeking Professional Graphic and Visual Designers to contribute as Domain Experts for advanced AI evaluation projects.
This role focuses on evaluating AI-generated visual outputs across:
- Layout
- Typography
- Information hierarchy
- Readability
- Design structure
- Professional usability
Contributors will help assess whether AI-generated designs meet real-world professional and enterprise design standards.
This is a flexible, project-based remote opportunity where professional design expertise directly shapes how AI systems understand visual communication and design principles.
What You’ll Be Doing
Side-by-Side Design Evaluation
Evaluate competing AI-generated designs such as:
- Slide decks
- Advertisements
- Posters
- Marketing assets
and determine which better meets professional standards.
Expert Design Analysis
Assess outputs based on:
- Readability
- Information density
- Visual hierarchy
- Structure
- Professionalism
- Communication clarity
Edit Request Verification
Review before-and-after design tasks and determine whether requested visual edits were successfully completed.
Experimental AI Tasks
Participate in focused evaluation tasks aimed at improving how AI systems handle concise visual communication and professional design workflows.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Professional Design Experience
Candidates must have either:
- Formal education in Graphic or Visual Design with at least 1 year of professional experience
OR
- 5+ years of high-level professional client design experience
Technical Literacy
Strong familiarity with industry-standard design tools and workflows including:
- Figma
- Adobe Photoshop
- Adobe Illustrator
Understanding of professional design terminology and production concepts is required.
Professional Design Judgment
Ability to distinguish between:
- Consumer-grade designs
- Enterprise-ready visual content
with strong sensitivity to:
- Readability
- Layout structure
- Professional polish
- Information hierarchy
Portfolio Requirement
A portfolio or work sample link is required during the screening process.

Compensation
Researchers seeking these skills typically pay up to:

- One hour of uninterrupted work
though many tasks are shorter.
