Job description

Mercor is seeking experienced financial analysts with legal ownership over finance-related work documents to contribute to advanced AI training and evaluation projects.

This role focuses on:

  • Designing LLM prompts
  • Evaluating AI model outputs
  • Working on rubric-style financial assessment tasks
  • Supporting frontier AI model training initiatives

Candidates with prior Mercor experience on rubric-based projects are strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and refine prompts for financial and analytical AI evaluation workflows

  • Evaluate AI-generated outputs for:

    • Financial reasoning
    • Analytical accuracy
    • Quantitative logic
    • Alignment with evaluation rubrics

  • Apply real-world financial analysis expertise to improve AI training systems

  • Work on rubric-based assessment tasks involving:

    • Financial analysis
    • Forecasting
    • Business reasoning
    • Financial modeling concepts

  • Contribute to the development of structured AI evaluation criteria

  • Collaborate remotely with AI research and evaluation teams

  • Maintain high standards of analytical rigor and technical accuracy

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Professional financial analysis experience

  • Legal ownership of finance-related work documents or materials

  • Strong understanding of:

    • Financial analysis workflows
    • Business reasoning

  • Confidence designing:

    • LLM prompts
