Role Overview
Turing is seeking Chemistry Experts to contribute to AI model fine-tuning and evaluation projects involving advanced chemistry reasoning and scientific problem-solving.
In this role, you will solve postgraduate-level chemistry problems, create detailed explanations, and help improve large language models through structured scientific analysis and annotations.
Key Responsibilities
- Solve advanced chemistry problems with detailed step-by-step explanations
- Work with chemistry content involving:
- Chemical equations
- Reaction mechanisms
- Diagrams and structures
- Thermodynamic and equilibrium systems
- Analyze and explain:
- Organic reaction mechanisms
- Stoichiometry
- Thermodynamics
- Electrochemistry
- Chemical equilibrium problems
- Create multimodal explanations combining:
- Text
- Visuals
- Simulations
- Annotated structures
- Provide detailed annotations and constructive feedback for AI training workflows
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Master’s degree, PhD, or ongoing PhD/Postdoctoral studies in:
- Chemistry
- Chemical Engineering
- Biochemistry
- Related fields
- Strong analytical and research skills
- Ability to explain complex chemistry concepts clearly
- Strong communication and collaboration skills in remote environments
- Self-motivated and capable of independent work
- Reliable computer and internet connection
Required Technical Tool Experience
Candidates should be proficient in at least three of the following:

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with AI training or evaluation workflows
- Familiarity with scientific computing and chemistry simulation tools
- Strong problem-solving and structured reasoning abilities
Work Details
- Fully remote contractor assignment
- 40 hours/week
- Minimum 4 hours PST overlap required
- Contract duration: 11 weeks
- Potential extension based on performance and project needs
