About the Role
Mindrift is seeking Biology Experts with Python experience to contribute to AI training projects focused on computational biology and bioinformatics.
This role involves designing complex, research-level biology problems and validating solutions using Python-based computational methods.
This is a project-based, fully remote opportunity ideal for professionals with a strong background in biology and experience working with biological data and algorithms.
Key Responsibilities
- Design computational biology problems simulating real-world research workflows
- Create problems requiring Python-based solutions (NumPy, SciPy, BioPython, etc.)
- Develop problems involving bioinformatics, systems biology, and molecular modeling
- Ensure problems require non-trivial reasoning and cannot be solved manually
- Validate solutions using Python and standard computational biology libraries
- Document clear problem statements and verified correct solutions
Ideal Qualifications
- Degree in Biology or a related field
- 2+ years of experience (research, applied, or teaching)
- Strong experience in biological data analysis and computational methods
- Proficiency in Python or equivalent tools (R, MATLAB, SQL, etc.)
- Familiarity with bioinformatics tools and workflows
- Strong written English (C1+)
