Role Overview

Join Mercor as a Finance Expert and contribute to training advanced AI systems through high-quality technical content.

In this role, you will author, review, and annotate finance-related tasks used to evaluate AI model performance. Your work will help AI systems better understand valuation, financial markets, and quantitative decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Author and review finance problem sets for AI evaluation
• Create tasks involving:
• Valuation models
• Payoff diagrams
• Financial statements
• Write structured reference solutions
• Apply quality checks to ensure accuracy and consistency
• Annotate and evaluate AI-generated finance outputs

Required Skills & Qualifications

• PhD in Finance or Financial Economics

OR CFA + 3+ years experience

OR BA/BS + 5+ years applied finance experience

• Strong knowledge in at least two of:
• Corporate finance
• Asset pricing
• Derivatives
• Risk management
• Financial statement analysis
• Ability to interpret:
• Valuation models
• Financial instruments and payoff structures
• Financial statements
• Strong technical writing skills
• Ability to explain reasoning step-by-step

Work Details

• Commitment: ~20 hours/week
• Work Type: Fully remote
