Role Overview

Join Mercor as a Psychology Expert and contribute to training advanced AI systems through high-quality technical content.

In this role, you will author, review, and annotate psychology-related tasks used to evaluate AI model performance. Your work will directly influence how AI systems understand and reason about human behavior, cognition, and experimental data.

Key Responsibilities

• Author and review psychology problem sets for AI evaluation
• Create tasks involving:
• Experimental designs
• Statistical plots
• Behavioral data figures
• Write structured reference solutions
• Apply quality checks to ensure accuracy and consistency
• Annotate and evaluate AI-generated psychology outputs

Required Skills & Qualifications

• PhD in Psychology

OR PsyD/MS + 3+ years experience

OR BA/BS + 5+ years applied/research experience

• Strong knowledge in at least two of:
• Cognitive psychology
• Clinical psychology
• Developmental psychology
• Social psychology
• Biological psychology
• Ability to interpret:
• Experimental designs
• Statistical visualizations
• Behavioral datasets
• Strong technical writing skills
• Ability to explain reasoning step-by-step

Work Details

• Commitment: ~20 hours/week
• Work Type: Fully remote
