AI Architect – Agentic Systems

Jobgether

Engineering & Development Full-time
Canada $80 – $90/hr July 2, 2026

Job description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an AI Architect – Agentic Systems based in Canada.

This is a high-impact architecture role focused on designing and delivering next-generation AI systems powered by generative AI, machine learning, and agentic orchestration. The position involves building intelligent, autonomous agents capable of interacting with enterprise systems, real-time data streams, and domain-specific workflows across regulated industries such as healthcare, finance, retail, and manufacturing. You will define scalable AI architectures that combine LLMs, RAG pipelines, and multi-agent frameworks to solve complex business challenges. The role requires strong systems thinking to bridge AI models with production-grade software and cloud infrastructure. You will collaborate closely with domain experts to translate real-world processes into intelligent agent behaviors. This is an opportunity to shape enterprise AI adoption at scale while working on cutting-edge Azure-based AI ecosystems.

Accountabilities:

  • Design and implement agentic AI architectures and multi-agent systems for diverse enterprise domains, including healthcare, finance, retail, and manufacturing.
  • Develop LLM-powered solutions using RAG pipelines, tool-calling agents, and orchestration frameworks to enable intelligent automation and decision-making.
  • Build domain-specific AI workflows such as clinical assistants, financial analysis agents, compliance systems, and operational optimization tools.
  • Design and deploy Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems over structured and unstructured enterprise data, including contracts, policies, CRM, and medical records.
  • Develop classical machine learning models for risk scoring, forecasting, anomaly detection, and classification use cases.
  • Build and maintain full-stack AI applications, including Python-based APIs, backend services, and interactive dashboards.
  • Integrate AI systems with enterprise platforms such as EHRs, ERP, MES, IoT systems, and data lakes, including FHIR/HL7-based healthcare environments where applicable.
  • Deploy, monitor, and optimize AI solutions on Microsoft Azure, ensuring scalability, performance, auditability, and compliance (including HIPAA-aligned architectures).
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders and subject matter experts to translate operational workflows into agent-driven AI logic.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience building production-grade AI systems using Python.
  • 8+ years of hands-on experience with Generative AI, including LLMs, RAG architectures, embeddings, and prompt engineering.
  • 8+ years of experience in traditional machine learning techniques such as classification, regression, NLP, and time-series modeling.
  • 5+ years of experience in full-stack development, including API design and UI integration.
  • 5+ years of experience working with Microsoft Azure services such as Azure ML, Azure OpenAI, Azure Functions, and AKS.
  • 5+ years of experience in regulated or compliance-heavy industries.
  • Strong expertise in building production-ready AI systems beyond prototypes, with a focus on scalability and reliability.
  • Deep understanding of LLM-based architectures, multi-agent systems, and orchestration patterns.
  • Strong ability to communicate technical concepts and explain AI-driven decisions to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Excellent collaboration skills and experience working with cross-functional domain experts.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
  • Familiarity with additional cloud platforms (AWS, GCP) or NVIDIA AI stack is a plus.
  • Exposure to model governance, explainability, and document intelligence pipelines is an advantage.

Benefits

  • Competitive hourly compensation of $80–$90 CAD/hour for a remote Canada-based role.
  • Fully remote work flexibility.
  • Access to enterprise-scale AI transformation projects across multiple regulated industries.
  • Opportunity to work on cutting-edge agentic AI and GenAI architectures using modern Azure technologies.
  • Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance (based on engagement type).
  • Paid time off and participation in retirement and savings programs where applicable.
  • Continuous learning and exposure to advanced AI, cloud, and enterprise integration ecosystems.
  • Inclusive work environment with equal opportunity employment standards.
